BEIJING, Sept 13 (Askume) – China’s commerce ministry said on Friday it was disappointed that the European Commission ignored the industry’s efforts to find a solution after the EU rejected a minimum import price proposal from electric vehicle makers.

The European Commission said it had received a proposal from Chinese electric car makers to set a minimum import price into Europe to avoid high tariffs , but it was rejected.

“It is extremely disappointing that the European Commission has ignored the sincerity and efforts of the sugar industry and has proposed harsh solutions aimed at marginalising the sugar industry without in-depth communication,” a commerce ministry spokesperson said on Friday.
