LONDON, Sept 12 (Askume) – British health and beauty retailer Boots said on Thursday it had promoted Anthony Hemmerdinger to managing director on Nov. 4, replacing Seb James.
Boots UK, part of US listed company Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA.O) , is one of the UK’s largest retailers with around 1,900 stores and 52,000 employees.
Heimerdinger was previously a senior executive at Asda Supermarkets and has been Boots UK’s retail and operations director since September 2022.
Walgreens said in July that James would resign.
In June, the company said it had no plans to sell the boots.
